The driving force behind Spoons Riverside is Sandra Jewson. Sandra’s passion for food and hospitality started at Conara Springs, Olinda where she learnt the trade from the ground up, doing various jobs to support the kitchen and front-of-house.

Following that experience, Sandra moved to Swan Hill and was keen to pursue her interests in hospitality and opened a small café and catering business in the main street and this led to the opening, in 2008, of the riverside restaurant.

Sandra is capably assisted at Spoons Riverside by a group of talented chefs, front-of-house and other staff, all of whom have learnt their skills from various hospitality industry experiences.

Sandra’s philosophy is to identify and develop local talent and provide young people with professional skills to position them for a successful career in hospitality.
